The Forest of Reading blog is a place for elementary students to connect, discuss and share ideas about the books they are reading as part of the Blue Spruce, Silver Birch Express and Red Maple programs.
Evan can't wait to use his new crayons. But, when they start breaking, crushing and disappearing he's not sure what to do. Instead of getting upset he uses the crayon bits that remain and creates some amazing art.
It was really imaginative and creative because the boy always found things to do when something happened. I also liked the illustrations because they are positive and colourful. (B.K.)
Even when things went missing he still found a way to push past the negative things and stay with the positive stuff and let his imagination fly. (H.G.)
I think Snap! was funny. It was funny because the crayons kept disappearing. My favourite part was when the green crayon fell down the stairs. I liked that because he was playing an instrument to charm the crayon out. (K.J.)
It was very good because when his crayons broke he came up with creative ideas and it turned out really pretty. (P.B)
