Our fifth Blue Spruce Book will have us thinking about life in rural Africa. We will discover what a bicycle library is and how some children in Africa get to school.
The story's main character is Anna who lives in Tanzania and has a long walk to school everyday. One day during lunch break, a bicycle library arrives with a gift that makes the children's daily trip to school easier and more enjoyable.
This book made us happy because it talked about how people help other people. The pictures are very colourful. At first we were confused that Anna was helping other people even though she didn't get a bike, but then we were happy that she did. By: Mrs. Keeler's Class
ReplyDeleteThis book is good because it made me happy that the people donate bicycles to faraway places. We liked that Anna was teaching everyone to ride their bikes. When Anna didn't get a bike the kids shared theirs to help her get home. By: Ms. Black's Class
ReplyDeleteThe book was really detailed, and it had a lot of colourful pictures. I liked the story where Canada gave bikes to kids that didn't have bikes. I liked how the kids noticed Anna's help and appreciated so much they let her ride a bike home
