Henry Holton Takes The Ice By: Sandra Bradley @ForestofReading

Week 2 of our Blue Spruce journey and we will be reading "Henry Holton Takes The Ice".

Henry's whole family is hockey mad, everyone except Henry. His hockey skills are an embarrassment to his athletic family.  He's not sure what he can do on the ice until he sees an ice dancing performance.  Henry trades in his hockey gear and follows his own path.

  1. I think this book was good because I liked the happy ending. I liked at the end that Henry got some figure skates for himself. By: Lovely Lily

  3. I liked the message. It is explaining that you don't have to do what other people do. Henry didn't like to play hockey like everyone else, instead he was an ice dancer. By: Ducky

  4. I think this book was very good because I play hockey. The glossary was cool also because body checking is fun, but it can be serious. By: Cool Keef
